Is Moka free? Yes. Moka is open source under the MIT license. You pay only for the model APIs you use.

Does Moka send my data anywhere? No. Moka has no telemetry and no backend. Prompts go only to the model providers and MCP servers you configure.

Which models support tools? Any model that supports function/tool calling through its API: current OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Mistral, Groq-hosted and most OpenRouter models, plus many local models through Ollama.

Can I use my company’s LLM gateway? Yes — add a model with the Custom / Enterprise gateway preset. Base URL, headers and keys are all configurable. See Models & providers.

Does it work with Claude Desktop / Cursor configs? Yes. Paste your mcpServers JSON into MCP servers → Add server → Paste JSON.

Are skills Claude-only? No. Moka implements skills on top of ordinary tool calling, so the same SKILL.md folders work with every model.

How is Moka different from the official MCP Inspector? The MCP Inspector is a protocol debugger. Moka puts a real model in the loop, adds skills, generative UI, workspaces and model comparison, and still shows the raw protocol traffic.

Can I run it for my whole team? Yes — use the Docker image with a fixed token behind your SSO proxy, and share a moka.json.

Can I build my own UI on top? Use @mokalabs/core directly, or the local HTTP API.
