Sharing demos

A Moka demo is just a folder:

  1. Use env: references for every secret (the UI suggests them). Check with Settings → Config file → Download (keys redacted) — the downloaded file is what’s safe to share.

  2. Use relative paths for skills ("path": "skills/brand-voice"); they resolve relative to moka.json.

  3. Commit the folder, or zip it.

  4. The recipient runs, inside the folder:

Tips

Section titled “Tips”
  • Add a .env.example listing the variables your demo needs.
  • Add "$schema": "https://unpkg.com/@mokalabs/sandbox/dist/moka.schema.json" to moka.json for autocompletion in VS Code and other editors.
  • Put the story in starter prompts so the presenter doesn’t have to remember what to type.
  • Stdio servers that use npx -y … or uvx … install themselves on first run — no extra setup for the recipient.
